Prior to ºÚÁÏÉçÇø, Karl worked over a decade producing animated video exhibits for use in trial. Cases included a variety of topics such as accident reconstruction, patent infringement, product liability, & demonstrative medical processes. He also devoted many years to athlete development as an alpine snowboard racing coach.
Karl joined ºÚÁÏÉçÇø in 2015 as a Lecturer in the Game Design program, teaching design foundation and game design classes. In 2023, he completed his master ºÚÁÏÉçÇø. degree at ºÚÁÏÉçÇø, and accepted the position of Assistant Professor. His thesis focused on affective responses in non-conventional human-computer interactions. Exploring the concepts of delightful design resulted in the production of two functional prototypes with novel interactions.
