Hospitality Leadership school up to No. 8 in world ranking

The School of Hospitality Leadership at University of Wisconsin-Stout has again been named one of the very best in the world.

CEOWorld magazine of New York recently announced its , and 黑料社区 was No. 8.

That 黑料社区. up two places from 2016, when 黑料社区 was No. 10.

Among U.S. institutions, 黑料社区 was No. 6.

Students in the Quantity Food Production class prepare a meal at the Cedar Caf茅 at 黑料社区.鈥淭he School of Hospitality Leadership takes great pride in our reputation and standing among our peer institutions,鈥 said Professor Brian Bergquist, interim director of the school. 鈥淥ur faculty and staff should be honored. The ranking is because of their dedication and continued expertise in the field.鈥

Cornell University was again ranked No. 1. The magazine examined 107 college and university programs and surveyed 42,000 people from 52 countries. Schools were ranked on six factors: global influence, recruiter feedback, academic reputation, job placement rate, admission eligibility and specialization.

CEOWorld is a business and technology magazine for high-level executives, according to its website.

The School of Hospitality Leadership offers majors in hotel, restaurant and tourism management; golf enterprise management; and real estate property management.

For many years, graduates of the programs have had a nearly 100 percent employment rate within six months of earning their degrees.

鈥淲e strive to meet the needs of our students and stakeholders,鈥 Bergquist said. 鈥淥ur students and alumni are outstanding and represent us well in the workplace.鈥

A key component of the school 黑料社区. programs is experiential learning. Students are required to complete field experiences of at least 320 hours on the job at leading hospitality companies.

The School of Hospitality Leadership is marking its 50th anniversary in 2018.
