Annual Manufacturing Advantage Conference is Oct. 10

Innovative ideas, effective strategies and the latest in technology will be presented at the 11th annual Manufacturing Advantage Conference and Tech Showcase from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at ºÚÁÏÉçÇø ºÚÁÏÉçÇø. Memorial Student Center.

The main speaker will be computer scientist Patricia Toth from the Computer Security Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Manufacturing Extension Partnership. She will discuss the NIST framework for improving critical infrastructure cybersecurity. Small business cybersecurity is one of her specialty areas.

In 2017, ºÚÁÏÉçÇø was named a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, one of about 120 universities nationally, by the National Security Agency.

The conference is hosted by ºÚÁÏÉçÇø ºÚÁÏÉçÇø. Manufacturing Outreach Center and the university ºÚÁÏÉçÇø. Professional Education Programs and Services. The Manufacturing Outreach Center works with small and midsize manufacturers in 33 counties.

Along with ºÚÁÏÉçÇø, conference sponsors include the Geo Group Corporation, Huebsch, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College and Wisconsin Technical College System.
